Thought id share something constructive on here about my recent trips around Australia (mostly within NSW and ACT states).
Pretty much staying 2-3 hours away from the nearest person/town at any time. No phone signal and a lot of sites need about 2 hours of low gearing to reach.
Happy to answer questions. Inb4 snakes, sharks, serial killers etc.

Mirin hard, brah. Didn't know snow in Australia was a thing.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Yeah, Australia has snowy alps. Given that it has alps, it covers nearly all the types of biomes, really. But still it is mostly dead-ass desert.
OP, great photos, but have you ever seen anything weird or creepy out there? I've camped remotely a few times, encountered a few things which were creepy. Any stories?Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Only once where we almost died. We went to this campsite called Lowells Flat ACT (google for pics and see how remote it is on the map) and you have to do at least 2 solid hours of low gearing (literally 40 degree drops and rises the whole way into the site). Got down there and we were the only ones there. No signal, no nothing. If something was to go wrong- youd die. Anyways, We were about 6 beers deep, blasting music from the Bose and one of the boys looked at me and said "bro did you hear that?". I shrugged it off. A min later he asked the same thing. Turned off the music and we heard a dog barking. We said, its 1 of 2 things. Either some weird kunt is down here with his dog that we dont know about OR its wild dogs. About 5 mins later, we looked across the water (about 15m in length) and saw about 20 yellow eyes staring at us. We launched ourselves into the car and saw about 10 wild dogs running around our cars, imbred looking mf'ers with googling eyes, hyperactive etc. Took about 5 mins until they left. Killed the vibe 100%, slept with an axe that night and all we heard was animals (kangaroos/pigs) being ripped apart by them. Fkers.

Get a snorkel (~$280) with some recovery trax (~$200. Put your 4x4 on and deflate tyres to 28-30 PSI (PSI reader from BCF is $40). Always hard to tell how deep something is so never be afraid to jump out and walk through it for a bit. Could get a winch if you're full srs about it, it could come in handy.
