Additionally, rich individuals and corporations have abused the current system for decades now in order to get way ahead of everyone else. IMO they should bear some additional burden in some of these policies. Maybe the thresholds should be higher and that's a discussion I'd be willing to have some wiggle room on. Also I'd explore other options than just straight up tax on all income. So maybe make the top bracket over $2MM and make it 55% for standard income, but for capital gains income over $2MM then that rate is 65%.
