nah, i'm not a fan of this. Tiktok may be poison, but this will now set a precedent. Now the government can make up some excuse to ban anything they don't like under the guise of "safety"
I can understand the rationale of limiting access to the app on military bases, but if Joe Schmoe From Sheboygan Wisconsin wants to waste his lunch break watching stupid viral videos he should be able to do so. Its particularly concerning that both parties are in support of this. Rarely is something in the best interest of the people if both parties are in favor of it (ex. going to war/the Patriot Act etc)
Ironically, tiktok is kinda like the misc in that there's a lot you can get away with that you wouldn't be able to post or say on IG or youtube, so thats something to take into consideration as well.

so theyre worried about china having access to all of our browsing data but theyre cool with having nearly all of our prescription, including chemotherapy and ssri, drugs made in china?
chase bank just launched a media group. if you bank at chase, you have now just opted in for them to sell your banking data details to 3rd party vendors to bring you personalized ads and they get an additional spiff if you click and buy and you get jacksht and the only way to opt out is by closing your accounts and telling them to fuk off
so congress has no problem with a bank using your money to invest and then also selling your private banking habits to any party willing to pay for it. how much do you want to bet temu will be one of those parties? why doesnt congress tell chase that making 50 billion a year is good enough and not to fuk over their customers and gaslight them into thinking theyre doing them a favor?
this is about money, not data.djt = light

people were getting redpilled on how the jews own the media.
so they banned it and now a jew is going to buy it, and censor anything "anti-semitic", because jews don't own the media. i mean, they do, but thats antisemitic and illegal to say. so they dont.
its a far right antisemtiic trope conspiracy theory, but its also true, and they even brag about it. but its not true if we talk about it. you can get fired, goy.

If congress was so concerned about online security, then we wouldn't all have to live in fear that facets of our infrastructure could come under attack because the geriatrics tossing twenty bucks to a Norton antivirus subscription while they were busy allocating billions for the "security" of other countries.
I fully agree, and Americans should be united in standing up for free speech over such a pathetic excuse being made over "safety."
There are already limitations set forth by both the government and corporations in respect to what they allow, and those who breach those rules can face the appropriate punishments. Outside of those circumstances, everything else should be on the table for private citizens to do as they please because it's not the government's business.
Good examples.
We rely on far too much with no feasible turning back point when it comes to China, rendering all of this fearmongering over an Idiocracy app all the more laughable.
What the United States actually needs is up to date measures securing Americans' data from all entities, regardless of national origin or made up geopolitical concerns. But American data being readily accessible takes priority over privacy for the government, which is more than happy to turn a blind eye so long as the major tech companies continue to leave the keys under that mat - and maybe throw in a generous donations or two now and again.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

99% of what we take seriously is not important. If we actually woke up and allowed the jew circus to implode, we would go right back into bartering. American is resource rich, we don't need all the extra sh!t to survive. Just walk around your house and tell me how much of it is useless junk if it came down to what is needed for survival. Money isn't real, your salary is valued less after every spending bill, while the people passing it are getting richer. (Super Ded fkn Srs)
