Cats may seem like they don't give a fukk because of their personality. Compared to dogs, they don't stare into your eyes waiting for you to tell them they're a good boy. They have self respect and dont take chit.

But if they sense distress, they actually rush to your aid. When my friend's mom died, her cat did not leave her side. Whenever I broke my leg, my cat would constantly sit on it purring. When kids are in trouble, cats take care of them like their own.

I have a cat and the cat requires virtually no maintenance at all. I have an automatic waterer, feeder, there is also a flushing cat toilet. The cat can more or less live for weeks at a time without even needing me in anyway. Still anytime i sit down or go to bed the cat jumps up on me and lays down.

I also own a dog thats about 25% bigger than the cat but the cat totally mogs the dog. One time I couldn't find the dog in her usual spots and she was sitting in the corner of the kitchen whimpering and afraid to move. The cat had her cornered and was just sitting there glaring at her.

They both have their places but for me a Cat > Dog
