    Eventually you run out of weight. Lack of progressive overload = no more progress. That’s why at some point you need barbells. I believe Davis even acknowledges this in his thread. Again OP and most people won’t get to that point.

    why are you being so discouraging? and I've used barbells before. just not without a spotter for certain exercises.
