Hey everyone.
First post on here but I need some advice.
I’m planning a trip to Cali later this year (24 weeks/6 months).
Currently I am 5”8 218lbs and I want to try and cut down to 170 before the trip. My daily expenditure right now is 2840 and I am eating around 1750 a day and working out 4 days a week and having 3 full rest days. Is it possible for me to drop 48-50 lbs in 60 months?

If we all had a dollar for all the posts that started like this over the years. What typically happens in these scenarios is the person gets a few weeks into it and they realize they aren't progressing at the rate they need to in order to accomplish whatever unrealistic goal they've set for themselves, and then just completely quit/give up.
As mentioned above, yeah its possible, but also highly unlikely just because of the amount of personal sacrifice that you're going to have to commit to in order to make it happen. Better to adopt some healthy exercise and eating habits and focus on short term goals (accomplishing what you want to each day/week) instead of what is theoretically possible over the long term. A bunch of short term goals achieved and strung together will result in long term results. All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

calorie counting never works.
Eventually they get exhausted at counting, keep cookign food, misjudge calories, weight loss stops - they quit.
Welcome to America. 1 calorie counter succeeds, 50 fail.
Just eat low carb, high protein, intermittent fasting, stay active and eat til you're full. You'll easily get a CD without even trying. People have been losign weight for thousands of years without myfitness pal. Avoid all that high caloric, low satiety processed garbage deisnged by corporations to make you fat and sick.Weight Loss: Go carnivore or keto combined with 16/8 IF. It'll create easy calorie deficit. Meat is good and heals, stop being lied to.
