My girlfriend recently got into gaming thanks to my PS5 and she's been enjoying it as a stress reliever.
She started playing Hogwarts Legecy and finished it, and just also finished Guardians of the Galaxy. Had a hard time with some of the fights but she still enjoyed it. Currently have her trying out God of War but wanted to see if anyone else had other ideas for fun games that are fairly linear in scope (ie not massive open world) but not ridiculously difficult.
Ideas I had: HZD and HFW but I feel the combat might be too hard. She started TLOU as well but switched to Guardians and seemed to enjoy it more. Not interested in Star Wars stuff so Jedi Survivor is out.

Ghost of Tsushima is the perfect combination of linear storyline and side quests/open world. Also an incredible story with good gameplay. And on the PS5 is looks absolutely amazing.

The Resident Evil series. She'd love some of the more action focused entries like Resident Evil 4 and 8. If she can handle a little horror/adrenaline, she should definitely play 2 before 4 and 7 before 8 since they're kind of sequels to eachother, but if not, she can get the story just fine in 4 and 8.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West are my favorite games ever. And imo it does really great with a female audience because it has an awesome female protagonist and has a strong theme and story around nature. The combat isn't hard at all, imo it's easier than God of War

They are all good games but aside from ratchet and God of war I wouldn't recommend any others to a noob gaming girlfriend
OP I forgot another great game you can play solo or together is destiny 2. I played a ton of that with my gf. Really easy to carry her thru stuff.
Also for some simple fun arcade games:
Rocket league
Golf with friends
Trials dirt bike game
Geometry wars
You MUST play it takes two with your gf on Co op. It was made for it.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Lmao I lold at the list too. But you never know what someone might like. My buddy’s girl doesn’t play games at all but somehow got sucked into RDR2. Has played for a little over 500 hours and has 100% it but literally refuses to play anything else. This was actually a few years back and she is talking about doing it again.
Personally my wife can only really get into stuff with puzzles or **** like Tetris EffectSCC - Redskins - Wizards
2021 Goal - regain the shreds
