Saw the other day a famous author didn't think much of NYC.
"Has NYC become too much for the author of American Psycho? Bret Easton Ellis questioned 'how the f**k can anyone live here' as he holed himself up in hotel room instead of heading out onto the streets that inspired most of his novels after decades in LA"

Pros:
- lots to see, you won't get bored
- good food places
Cons:
- smells like garbage
- expensive AF
- crowded, always bumping into people
- street peddlers trying to sell you their mixed tapes and chitty merch.
- traffic is a nightmare getting in and out
- liberals and crime everywhere
I don't like NYC at all. Won't go back anytime soon.6'1 - 240lbs

Absolutely. You’ll hear a lot of cope from miscers about how New York is a chithole cesspool as if it’s not the financial and cultural capital of the entire world. There’s so much to do there it’s ridiculous. I’m from Upstate New York but I have a strong affinity for the city. I used to ride the train in every year and never had a bad time. Go experience the big apple boyo.
Username checks out lol.
New York City is far better to visit, but probably I’d rather live in Toronto.

I've been to LA, Seoul, Chicago, London, and Naples.
NYC was by far the funnest city I've been to
If you're looking for the ultimate urban experience there really is no place better.
Yea its a dirty smelly chithole but who gives af. You go there for the experiences it offers
If you want clean then go to the hundreds of gentrified boring medium sized cities spread across the country
edit- Actually Seoul would be almost equally as fun if I actually knew how to speak korean. You're sort of limited if you're not native to the area
