ERIE COUNTY MASS SHOOTING: multiple police agencies responded to Tops on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo. Police say they have a shooter in custody who is photographed below. At least 9 individuals have been reported shot, more than 5 of them in the head. At least 1 fatality.

Out of morbid curiosity I skimmed through the manifesto. He was very concerned about CCW holders/security guards shooting him. Apparently a security guard did in fact shoot him, but he was wearing RMA III+ plates, and he killed the guard.

One of the reasons he chose the location is because anyone with a CCW would be limited to 10 rounds, and the police likely wouldn't have patrol rifles (at least by his estimation).

Definite push for gun control coming

1. ⁠Happened in a state with highly restrictive gun control that just happens to be involved with an upcoming SCOTUS case
2. ⁠Armed guy shot back and didn't stop him due to body armor = "good guys with a gun don't stop these, also body armor should be illegal"
3. ⁠Full on white supremacist manifesto
4. ⁠Illegally modified compliant firearm (and if he filed off the serial number it counts as a ghost gun now).

Guess I'm more curious about the body armor. If your 18 year old is acquiring military grade body armor, you might want to ask yourself why.

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you but something has changed in the last 5 years to normalize mass shootings and I really don't feel that if he was dead, that they couldn't search through his writings( online and at his home) and do a psychological analysis of him. Sometimes people just can't be fixed. Just my theory.
Now.............. he "may" be fixed by Tyrone in a small cell.

The NYT, CNN, NBC and affiliates, NPR, many on Twitter are all reporting falsely that the shooter is a right-wing white supremacist influenced by Tucker Carlson. They are all lying to the American public because it doesn’t fit the desired ideology. But, a lot of people like being blatantly lied to. There is no mention of Tucker Carlson in the manifesto and no indication he is right-wing. But, proof he is the opposite.

I think the big issue is you didn't see these mass shootings, especially the school shootings, pre-Columbine. April 20, 1999 changed this. What caused this? 24/hour news access so they could go down "famous"? Then add in social media so that this kid can film the massacre on Twitch and be even more "famous".
