It's peak summer and if i recall correctly the god-tier summer smells were Roja Vetiver, Virgin Island Water, and Creed Pure White. Are there any new universal "stunners"? I can't do the Maison Francis Kurkdjian dna anymore, it's too rich. Don't mess with Areej Le Dore anymore for practicality reasons. Part of me feels like I should just grab my first love (Bal D'Afrique)

You already know Jardin D' Amalfi is my favorite creed. I need to layer it with Erolfa, never tried that. As for the bottles, they are wayyy overpriced at retail. Your best bet is the groups, or hope that Costco restocks them. Costco sold them for $199 a few years back.

Clive Christian is MFK/Creed tier even if they try to market higher. I'd hesitate before saying it's Roja level of refinement. I remember trying a bunch of the line at a department store and thought they were "okay". The only one i really enjoyed was Rock Rose, but that was over 2 years ago so i wanna get my nose on it again.

As someone who currently doesn't own a single bottle of Creed, I would say that they are overpriced but they are not overrated. I've unplugged from the "frag world" for about 1.5 to 2 years i think. I gifted my dad a bottle of Aventus Cologne right before i took my hiatus. Every time i visited him, i would steal a couple sprays and be blown away at how refreshing it was. A couple years back i compared Guerlain Vetiver, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Creed Vetiver, and Roja Vetiver. Roja was the best one but that creed was only just a few steps below it.

The thing with Creed is that you have to look at it without the fragcomm lens because people either dick ride Creed or hate on it for the pricepoint. Still some of the best smells in the business even if they aren't as "magical" as rojas. The only thing that kills creed for me is pricing and you can get around that by using fragrancenet.com or some ******** communities. I've been rocking a 5 bottle roja collection for 2 years now and i'm actively seeking out Creed to add to my rotation. Not everyone wants that thickass scent bomb MFK produces.
