Cole may be known for his love of Halo, but Elden Ring is blowing him away.

I'm all up for gaming talk and I like the souls series but why should one random dude's opinion on his fave game be a thread worthy topic? Lol

I mean his comments are making the rounds in gaming news today. He’s pretty good at it, but he’s no Xavier Woods (UpUpDownDown). I thought I’d share… he’s the cool Elden ring fan … one of the very few…. I don’t know too many who play those type of games who are 🤷♂️ lol

That's why I've always been a fan of Bethesda RPG's and never really cared for From Software's titles. To me the open world nature of Elden Ring is it's one saving grace, it's just fun to explore, but that's true for most Bethesda RPG's as well. Difference is From Software loves to punish the player, it's always been kind of a masochistic scene where the people who like it enjoy being punished. To me that's always been a turnoff, I've never been the type of person who plays games for their high difficulty and to grind away at the same unfair challenges repeatedly. Bethesda's games are just so much more relaxing, if everything goes to hell you can just reload a save. To me they just feel like more of an approachable adventure experience, centered more on exploration than anything else. In From Software titles, the difficulty can feel like running into a wall, it's just something to abruptly stop your progress.
