you can play that game, but it's not easy. sell a portion of your stack and rebuy lower.

Obviously if you can execute that then it's the better option. But few can, and it's fraught with difficulty and stress - the majority who attempt short-ish term swings will get the rope - you're going up against much smarter people (computers, in fact) and chances of winning are slim. My strategy has usually been to make one big exit of each play and not look back (or not for a long time, i.e. months or a year or longer).

By taking very long term plays based on information asymmetry and time arbitrage we can actually have a consistent edge because having le super computer doesn't help with that and, in fact, they're not even looking for such trades in the first place.

This is also why playing smallish alts is good for humans - the smarter money isn't even looking there.

UPDATE: Today saw 1500+ mainnet DIDs created, which is 10% of the total so far and an absolute happening. In appropriate response, some mad lad aped the price up to 52c briefly.
