There are some who believe that a person can be addicted to certain foods. Books have even been written about food addiction (of course, books have been written about other questionable topics like UFOs and aliens ). I do know that there was a time that when I ate certain (trigger) foods that it triggered me to eat much more than I initially wanted to. Actually bingeing at times, I'm sorry to say.
What do you think? Are there any foods that cause you to consistently eat more than you thought you would? Foods that cause you to almost always go back for seconds (or thirds)?

you can 100% be addicted to a food. I was addicted to pickles. Ate them by the jar and by the package. No calories great! BUT the sodium is off the charts. I finally broke my addiction and now only have 3 or 4 on a burger or sandwich instead of a handful. OH and on top of the sodium I was also dumping more salt on them and in some cases also hot sauce which is even more sodium. Its been just over a year since I broke my habit and ive also dropped over a million milligrams of sodium from my diet. Probably closer to 2 million.
!!!!DONT LIKE ME?..DONT AGREE!!!...DONT CARE!!!!..."drops mic"...PEACEOUT!!!

For some, they can eat responsibly and add a little treat here or a favorite carb there and it works for them. That doesn't work for me as I'll overeat nearly every single time.
What got me thinking about the topic was that I saw a book on display at my library when I went to get my latest novel (fiction) to read, and I checked the book out. The author claims that for some people, and I know that I'm one of them, they have to totally abstain from certain foods. Coincidence or not, I drank excessively (primarily on weekends) for years even though I tried to be responsible with it but then finally had to stop drinking entirely 16 years ago.Pull-Up PR: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=177233951
