Meh just a bump in the road if they tried. The only thing they could do is put tremendous sell pressure on the market.

With Bitcoiners used to 90% crashes every cycle I'm not sure it would really matter in the long run. The data suggests there's an entire new set of holders every market cycle and long term holders accumulate more.

The lower the price goes the more people can accumulate greater amounts.

Roger ver chitcoin. They implemented bigger block sizes as a "solution" to the TPS issue completely ignoring the blockchain trillema. It's become increasingly centralized and will become more centralized (and thus less secure) as the blockchain grows.

yeah i went for link for a few months earlier this year and made small profit , still have some on exchange. did research on it and like the future potential. I actually had some on ada, matic, dot too but i pulled out early, now i feel like a dum dum, this was early this year.

It gives them the advantage of breaking away from the USD, massive increases in purchasing power and effectively allows them to hyperinflate their currency with zero ****s given.

If we're talking governments, China could buy up BTC like no one could imagine, but that would expose them as other governments could just ban bitcoin and use it as a weapon, essentially evaporating any gains China would have hoped for if BTC is only important/useful in China, and no where else...then they just spent money on an outdated/sluggish decentralized currency.

With that said, they've been trying to launch their own digital currency.

They've also been hoarding up gold like no one's business.

I figure they're waiting for the US collapse so they eventually become the standard, and have enough reserves to sell the yaun (digital or otherwise) world wide as the reserve currency.

Sure, but I'm saying if it turns out that China is holding nearly all the bags, then the incentive is there to tank it, and use it as a weapon against China. BTC is meaningless if it's centralized within one nation.

At the end of the day, or at least for the time being, BTCs value is still pegged to fiat, no escaping that anytime soon, regardless of which companies accept BTC currently--they still peg the pricing to fiat. Fiat will always continue to be controlled by governments, and that's where they can make life difficult.

Either way, no way China/government is hoarding in any meaningful way, or with the intention of using it long term
