Can I do stationary lunges instead of walking lunges?

Hello. I'm doing the Fierce 5 dumbbell routine. I am unable to do walking lunges because of limited space. 1'd like to know if stationary lunges can be an alternative.

Thanks. Although they hit differently I should be fine with doing them right?

Yes. I find walking lunges hit the glutes and hamstrings quite a bit harder. They also have more of a cardio element and leave me significantly more gassed.

I'd rather do Bulgarian SS but there's no need to dwell on this too much.

Ok sounds more beneficial. I have room for 4 lunges and back. U'm thinking of soing the required amount of lunges which is 16. Pretty much 4 lunges then turn around, 4 lunges, and repeat till I reach 16.

    It's fine.

    Waking lunges
    Standing Rev lunge
    Standing lunge
    Split squat
    Ffe split squat
Rfe split squat (commonly called bss)
    Vert torso
    Leaned torso
    Short stride (knee forward)
    Long stride (very shin)
    Db/bb/ssb/sandbag/vest ect

All great, all slightly different angles ect for helping with overuse issues..

All very viable options for F5 or anything really...
Just pick one and go for it xD

yes, it's fine. Besides forward and back you can do side to side and angular (i.e. 45 degree). You can do them with no weight, dumbells, kettlebell, hold a plate, or a bar on your back. Have fun.

You can,how far does it tell you to walk?
Figure out how many steps with each leg then convert to stationary.
I will agree with others that walking lunges have even more of a stability factor but stationary lunges have great benefit also.

I think walking lunges are one of the most underrated and effective leg exercises you can do.
