Guys I’m getting a divorce

Many ppl on this site knows me for the “Me and my girlfriend pic” and obviously we got married down the road. But...

Sad to say we are getting a divorce now. It’s not like how it used to be and we’re both very unhappy together. We have two kids also and we both have full time jobs.

If there is anyone here who is divorced with children, how do you plan your weeks around work and kids? Dare care is an issue I think bc of Covid...

Anyways, we both are being very civil and supportive. We want what’s best for both us and the kids. I’m happy this is happening but it’s also sad you know? We decided to split everything 50/50 with no BS.

So yeah...

Curious to see what life has in store for me now. Turning the page for the next chapter.

---UPDATE 5/01/2021---

Sorry for abandoning the post. Everything has been pretty stressful but its getting better in time.

So..heres a brief update..

A little while after this post, I came to find my soon to be ex wife is actually having an affair with this guy and she is bringing him around the kids. The past few months she has been dating this guy, bringing him around the kids, got into a relationship and announced it on socials, and bought a condo with him and shared it on socials. Keep in mind were still technically married LOL.

I feel so embarrassed and humiliated because friends and family on both sides has asked what is going on. I served her papers on April 1st (lol), and ever since I did that it helped a lot with stress, I think its because now I know this is actually happening and its another stepping stone to move forward..

She mentioned that she start dating this guy since AFTER the separation, but I'm obviously not buying it lol..

Probably depends on your state and what the two of you agree to. In MI the standard seems to be 3-4-4-3.

How old are your kids?

This is cool and i would say get it in legal writing but that would probably make things uncivil. at least i think so

We both talked about lawyers and getting things in writing. We’re being very civil. Thank god.

Women is the last thing on my mind tbh.

I wanna focus on being a better person/father. Not saying I’m bad but there’s improvement needed. and focus on my ambitions.

I’m a year and a half in and confident in our relationship but as a child of divorce, once we have kids thats a subconscious fear of mine.

I know me too man it’s sad.

But I remember my parents being very unhappy as long as I can remember and they divorced when I turned 25.

We don’t wanna wait 20 more years in hopes of something magical to happen and save our marriage.
