"Tiring to listen to" ---- that's an accurate way of describing the experience. I get tired when I listen to this sort of music. A lot of voices sound like the cookie monster too

I like to think of it the average person has an average appreciation of music, musicianship, etc. Above average people are fewer, therefore so are fans of music that requires more than a basic ear. Something like that.

As big a fan as I am (of death, thrash, and all other types of metal), plenty of it is ****ing garbage just the same as any other genre. That said, I can and do listen to it at any time in any situation as I find it both calming and energizing.
