Heavy weights cause unbearable pain in my wrist

Mark here, I'm 38 years old. Now, when I try to lift heavy weights i feel unbearable pain in my wrist and sometime stiffness. A friend of mine recommended me to use copper gloves.

I have researched on google and some of the information. Some people are highly supporting it and some says it don't work.

Need your opinion.Should I use it or not?

    Thanks

If you get benifit crack on.

But you may want to find out what is wrong with your wrist so you can sort it out.

I'm not optimistic. Have a doctor check your wrists out. It could be arthritis, a tendon strain, soft tissue inflammation, a nerve impingement, a hidden fracture, a grip issue, or a matter of simply trying to do too much too soon.

If the copper gloves are free and comfortable, by all means wear them. If they help, great. Even a placebo effect can be useful. But I wouldn't spend much money on them.

Your body is telling you something. Putting a bandaid (copper gloves) is not addressing the root cause.

You just joined a gym and are doing heavy weights. Have you been lifting before this? What is your current routine? What exercises are you doing and how much weight? What, specifically, exercises are causing pain?

    1. See a doctor.

    2. As to the gloves... Buy a pair from a local store. If they help you somehow, great! If not, then return them.

Give front squats a try. No wrist strain and i personally feel they build quads more effectively than back squats even thou it requires you to use less weight.

Don't lift heavy then. I've been doing lighter weights and higher reps lately with totally mind/muscle connection, it's been lots of fun and good results. I feel I'm getting more definition with the higher reps and burning more fat.

    Just get wrist wraps.
I have typed on a keyboard all day for 25 years. I don't even consider lifting without Inzer wraps. You just have to try a few quality ones to find the correct stiffness for what you want.
Cheap ones are useless but you don't need ultra stiff competition bench type either.
