Yea.... there is 'relatively' strong, and just plain insane strength!
There was a guy at my old gym who was a MONSTER as 'mortal' human. He was just a dad in his mid 50's. Ex football player with sons playing competitively. He was just 'staying in shape' at this point of his life. He was 6'6"+ probably about 330-350. Just a mountain of a man and one of the nicest guys you would ever meet.
He would go in and barely warm up and then put 405 on incline bench and bang out 6-7 reps like nothing.
Watching that vid reminded me of when he and I worked out together. First we benched, I think I only managed 405 for 3 and told him next set I would have to strip some weight.
Then went on to dumbbells. Our gym had 150 lb dumbbells, and he asked if I wanted to do incline. I was a little nervous because I was not even sure I could flip them up by myself and did not want to ask for help. I lifted them to my lap, awkwardly, and flipped them in position. He asked if I wanted help on first rep, and of course I said "I got it". Then I pushed the first rep up steadily and found a nice groove and got 7 or 8 reps. I was feeling really good about myself.
Then he got on the bench, and lifted the 150's like they were 75's. His hands looked like they could wrap around the handle twice. WHILE TALKING he leaned back with the weights and started pressing. I think he went to 15 and just stopped on his own. He probably could have done 20+ He was talking with me the whole set like he was barely exerting himself.
I have always hated the guys who downplay 'bigger' guys strength just because they are 'big'. Just witnessing the raw strength first hand is impressive. I never felt the need to say, "he weighs 150 lbs more than I do". I just was and still am impressed at the display of power.
I have never lifted to impress anyone else in the gym, but I have always appreciated the validation of guys who were much stronger and bigger being surprised that I was 'pretty strong for a little guy'. I think those are the best compliments I ever got in the gym.

Stienborn Squats 258 x 13 (not counting tilting on/off the shoulders).
Couple things,
I haven't done this lift since June.
This was a spur of the moment workout, personal very bad day for me.
I didn't have too much time, so I just went in and trained on a full stomach.
My set before this set was 236 x 10
I was still a tad winded, on a full stomach (I had eaten a big meal less than an hour before).
This is way harder than squatting in a rack, I was gassed.

Very good set. I don't know if it's my spine or what, but I can't do free-weight BB shoulder presses without my back bending backward. So, I do them on the Smith like a girly man.
Nice rep. You had 2 or 3 more. I'm sure that will be on the next video.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Doubt it, my program (that I schemed up) is calling for higher rep squats and Dead Lift singles all for back health, with all the bs happening in the world I have get 500 using SMART approach.
My body takes too long to progress with doubles and triples. I’ve learned that. That could change in a year, but I need 500, going add 5lb a week for a bit.

I cant top Cassies awesomeness, LWW deads, Flex's squats or AJ OHP, but snapped a pic in the gym tonight. I have let my BF drift up these past 6 months. Partly because it seems to be easier on my joints, and partly because I just want to eat 2 tubs of icecream a week. srs.
Maybe after first of the year I will try to get back on track a little better. I miss working out in my old gym. It was just cool to have made a bunch of good lifting buds and it was something new every day.
Going back to working out at home, even though I did it for years in the past, I am finding challenging. Since I work from home also, I feel like I never go anywhere. I know a lot of people are dealing with the same so it is not a complaint. Just need to find some fire!

How bout more weight more reps. At the gym this am I squatted 275 x 15.
Not filmed cause it wasn’t home, but I was not happy with my depth on those backyard squats, but try to go deeper in grass and hiking boots. The squats I did today were just below parallel.
Don’t know the next I’m doing backyard squats, we’ll see how long the gym stays open?
