Well back around 2012 I hit my high of 490+ lbs. I ended up losing weight and got under 300lbs. Fast forward to now and I stepped on the scale at 470lbs. I recently went on vacation and my 5xl shirts were skin tight on me in pictures. It was a mind opening and defeating thing to see. I had to buy 2 plane tickets because I was too big to fit in a single seat. I got home stepped on the scale and was at 470lbs. I was in shock. I have to change or I am going to die. I have been dieting for about 6 weeks now and I will continue to post here as a form of accountability.

I feel you, I am in the same boat. I don't know how old you are, but I am turning 35 this Christmas, and had that realization 9 days ago. Either I get myself in shape or my life is well halfway over. Congratulations on the weight loss so far, that is something to be proud of.

It was a tough week. Thanksgiving Thursday, Friendsgiving Friday, and jobs-giving Saturday. Overall could of been worse. I am still bloated with water retention from the 3 days of eating, so I expect to have a massive loss for next weigh in. Starting today I will be incorporating cardio into my routine.

well I didn't start with the cardio like I planned. I did however get right back on track after 3 cheat days.
I hit my short term goal of 399, so I updated a new short term goal of 370, which would represent 100lbs lost.

Yeah, trying to eat at a deficit during the holidays is super difficult...I'm planning to try eat at maintenance worst case scenario...but whatever I do I don't want to eat at a surplus as an excuse for the holidays sigh!=================

I got a new WiFi smart scale today but it weighs out 4lbs heavier than my previous scale. I am adjusting the numbers to reflect the new weight and adjusting the starting weight as well. I also noticed that my short term goal I have of 375 I get confused with my other goal of 370(100lbs lost), and some of my numbers were wrong. So the new scale should align those goals into 1 and I have fixed the figures.

Lost 5.3lbs this week so another solid week. I should hit my short term goal next week if i keep at my current pace. 349 would mean i am closer to 300lbs than 400lbs, which is a big accomplishment since my starting weight was knocking on the door of 500lbs.

Hit my short term goal of being under 350. I am now closer to 300 than 400. This is huge considering i started knocking on the door of 500lbs. My new short term goal is 336.5 which is the halfway point between my starting weight and 199lbs.

I did a dexa scan and at 348lbs I was 43.1% Bodyfat. Based on this I have set my final goal at 219lbs. I am adjusting my short term goal to 319, so 100lbs away.

Gonna try getting back to updating weekly. Was kinda in the middle of a plateau where my loss had slowed down, but I stayed the course and this week was rewarding losing 6.5lbs. I knew not to focus so much on the scale but to keep doing what I have been doing. I am now 3.5lbs away from sub 300lbs which will be a big accomplishment considering I started close to 500lbs. I have pretty much lost the equivalent of the average adult man at this point. I should hit my goal this week with any luck.

Today is exactly 7 months since I started. Amazing how much I have lost in 7 months. 178.8lbs in 7 months!!
Hit my short term goal. My new short term goal is 274lbs for a total of 200lbs lost. Another milestone I should hit quickly is the lowest I got when I lost weight before at 294.5lbs.
