Alright not many people around at this time.
Anyway i'll start with my favourite movie and a real classic.
If you noticed the first post in this thread, what else would you expect?
Not going to give a detailed review because a) takes too long b) I'm not a reviewer lol. just going to give my thoughts
Halloween:
My personal favourite horror ever. I love this move from start to finish.
Plot (like anyone doesn't know it): Michael Myers kills his sister as a child, gets sent to Asylum and escapes after being there for 15 years. He comes back home to Haddonfield, Illinois on Halloween night.
Halloween is great because it uses suspense and builds up tension throughout the movie. Michael Myers is a badass
Also love the music used in this movie!
Obviously 99% of people have seen this movie, but if you haven't.. get your ass down to the video store and rent it, better yet buy it because it's an essential part of any movie collection!
Score: 9.8/10 because i don't give 10's

Bad Taste:
This film is about a bunch of aliens that come to Earth to find humans to use for their fast food service on their home planet. They invade New Zealand and it's up to a team of 4 blokes to stop them.
For having no proper actors in this movie, it's pretty damn impressive!
Full of gore and comedy, Bad Taste is a great effort by Peter Jackson. Obviously this movie wasn't designed to have a huge story or be a great success. It was made off a low budget, and the actors were all Jackson's friends, but it still manages to be a pretty decent movie.
Score: 7/10
I recommend it, but probably only to rent and see if you like it, because it's not for everyone!

Carrie:
I fuking love this movie! Definitely one of my favourite horror movies
Plot:
Carrie is a girl who is basically a loner and pretty unpopular (she also has telekinetic abilities) Her mother is extremely religious and comes across as a right psycho.
After gym class Carrie gets her first period in the shower and thinks there's something wrong with her, she flips out and all the other girls give her **** about it.
Long story short she ends up going to prom with the best looking guy in school because the guys g/f wants to do something nice for Carrie after treating her bad.
Unfortunately other people don't feel the same way and decide to get revenge on Carrie. I'll leave it at that.
Thoughts:
I absolutely LOVED the whole prom ordeal, the expressions on Carrie's face were priceless. Movie kept my interest the whole way throughout without fail. I think this is John Travoltas first real movie (don't quote me on that) and he plays his role pretty well. Sissy Spacek is awesome as Carrie White, especially in the second half of the film.
Great Movie
Score: 9/10
Buy it, rent it whatever. Just watch it.

Audition (Odishon)
Plot: Shigeharu Aoyama is a dad who is raising his son alone after his wife died a few years earlier. A business colleague sets up a fake audition in which Aoyama looks for a new partner, he finds the beautiful Asami and is instantly hooked on her. She is not as she seems though.......
Thoughts: Absolutely AWESOME Japanese thriller/horror movie.
Has one of the most intense scenes in any movie! People with a weak stomach will most likely bring up whatever they ate earlier! Eihi Shiina who plays Asami is so good in this role, she ends up being one crazy lady!
This movie is pretty slow paced until the last hour or so, a lot of people might be thrown off because of that. It could also be described as a romance tale at first, but this quickly changes halfway through.
I personally had no issues sitting through this movie, i enjoyed the story.
Score: 9/10
Another one of my essential movies!
The Japanese sure know how to make a movie!

I've been a mjaajr horror-buff all my life. I attend two film/star conventions a year and have met everyone from George Romero to Kane Hodder to Karen Black to Doug Bradley. My faves are "The Shining", the original "Dawn of the Dead", "Maniac", and "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer."

Peter Jacksons Dead Alive kicked ass. Its not all that scary though. One movie of the top of the head that scarred the hell out of me when i was little was Childs Play 2.

Another classic!
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Plot: We all know the story... Freddy Krueger invades dreams, kills teens while they're sleeping......
Thoughts: One of the classic horror movies, start of one of the most notable series beginning in the 80's, along with Friday the 13th.
Of course i enjoyed this movie, it's a classic! Love the Krueger character.
Some pretty cool deaths in this movie, it's been a while since i watched it so i might have to sit down and view it again, because it's a great movie
Score: 8/10
People who are only familiar with the newer movies these days should be forced to watch movies such as this

Jacob's Ladder
In the mouth of Madness
...if you guys want some great horror that was just released a couple of years ago, try "Three Extremes" (a japanese film with english subtitles, telling 3 different stories)...I'd highly recommend it.
