Man, lots of checkmates being thrown around ITT. All these posts....."checkmate", "checkmate again". One would think something has been shown conclusively, unquestionably to be the case, and no longer to be debated, such as 4+3=7 (which is not debated in any math class). Ah nevermind, it's just a mindless theological debate thread.
Missed this gem. And how exactly does this "disprove" evolution? For one, I see you are ignoring the fact that the experts are blatantly saying they think it's a decomposed shark of some sort (note the dishonest tactic of this not being mentioned....rather just that it means "evolutionists lie". Why is dishonesty so rampant in fundamentalist arguments....attempting to support Christianity of all religions?). This is the case with many of these loch ness unidentified sea creatures you see always pop up in the news, they are decomposed known species, and these stories are a dime a dozen. One also can't rule out the possibility of hoax. The problem is there appears in this case to be no testable body remaining to examine and say definitively what it is....so no one can say for sure.
But besides all this......even if this turned out to be something resembling a 200 million year old species (it's almost certainly not).....how does this disprove evolution?∫∫ Mathematics crew ∑∑

NOPE. One God, three personalities. You just don't believe what the Bible actually says because you don't understand it. That's not faith. You need to place your FAITH in the Lord and BELIEVE His word, EVEN when you don't understand it.
Let US make man in OUR Image is God talking to the other members of the Trinity.
The Bible says that man was made in the image of GOD, NOT the angels.
So prove me wrong through the scriptures.

Genesis 3:22
Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—”
2 Sam 14:17
"And now your servant says, 'May the word of my lord the king secure my inheritance, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the LORD your God be with you.'"
Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

First of all it doesn't say ANYTHING about man being created in the image of the angels. It says that man knows good from evil like God and the Angels do. Secondly, there is no such verse in the Bible. 2 Samuel only has 12 verses, even if it were, this does not say that man is created in the image of the angels. The Bible is quite clear that man was created in the image of God. No mention of the angels. Lastly, I can't believe you are going to quote something that satan, the liar said to Eve in the Garden to make your false point. Even that monster satan didn't say that they were created in the image of God. he said ye shall be AS Gods, because they will know good from evil. That was a temptation from the cheif liar and you use it to make a point that even that monster isn't making.
Genesis 1:27 [Full Chapter]
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
YOU ARE DEAD WRONG.

By the way, this was OP's original question:

OP keeps blabbering about how I am saying we were "created in the image of angels", but notice I never actually said that. I only said God was speaking to angels.
Yes, we were made in God's image, not, "in the image of angels", but evidently, so were the angels, who were created before man, and who were there when the earth was created.
OP believes that God (presumably the Father), was speaking to "the other members of the Triune Godhead". Which would be polytheism.
But, OP isn't even a real trinitarian, anyway, as he believes Jesus is the Father; so he is actually "Oneness", not a trin.Last edited by BrosefMengele; 07-31-2019 at 03:25 PM.

My point was that the Bible was looking at only listed 2 Sam CHAPTER 14 only having only twelve verses, yet you quote through verse 17.
Secondly, I found a version that had it and looked at the context of your faulty argument. First of all, This verse isn't addressing the Lord, God. It's addressing a human King. Secondly, even if it WERE, it in no way would infer that people were created in the image of the angels.
17 Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the Lord thy God will be with thee.

The Bible says "Let us make man in OUR image". God was talking to the other members of the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is one with the Father and the Spirit is what I am saying. They are all the same God. It's not my fault that you don't believe the Scriptures.
When was Jesus Christ created?

Huh, that's funny; I thought we covered already how I'm not saying that we were made "in the image of angels".
Why you repeatin' that, dum dum?
The verse from 2 Sam 14 shows that when God says "He has become like one of us" it means "like an angel" or "godlike" in knowing good and evil. But I don't think you'd be able to understand this.. It's for the other readers of this post.

Well it can't be One God talking to two other Gods because there is only one God.
1 Timothy 2:5 [Full Chapter]
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Duet 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
Your second answer is in fact right it is one God talking to His other personalities. That's what I have been saying all along.
Also Correct, Christ is eternal, not a created being because He is in fact GOD.

Yes, this is the shema. It's referring to God. The LORD. THE Father. Not Jesus. Adonai not adoni.
That's wrong. God does not have split personalities. You are a "Oneness" not even a trin by the way. Trins would be disgusted by you saying God was talking to other personalities. That's heresy.
Eternal, yes, but not the One God. That is the Father.

Lol at how ridiculous this post is. Clearly Paddington was wrong about the number of verses in 2 Samuel (his first post saying the entire book has 12 verses, then changing it to just the 14th chapter has 12 verses).
What does he do when called out on this? Own up to it and simply say "yeah, I was wrong" like a normal person? Nope. Now it's......the version of Bible he was looking at? Lmao which bible are you looking at for 2 Samuel 14 to have only 12 verses? Note the typical dishonesty rampant in the posts....there just won't be a simple admission that he was wrong. Can't let people see you make any flawed statements ever....gotta cover up the tracks.
Also lol at the words getting increasingly larger and bolder in the posts in here. I guess that's how you "solve" a question that has no answer....simply resort to shouting louder and louder. That'll be sure to check mate em.∫∫ Mathematics crew ∑∑

There MAY have been angels there and there MAY not have been. It doesn't matter because He wasn't talking to them. It says let US make man in OUR image. Man was NOT made the in the image of the angels, THEREFORE, God was not talking to the angels. God was talking to the other members of the Trinity. Father, Son & Spirit. I know that there was an angel in the Garden of Eden and I know satan was there as well, but no one knows how long they existed. Either way, it doesn't matter because God wasn't referring to creating man in the image of angels. It's clear that He was talking to the other members of the Trinity.
Question:
Why did Thomas Call Jesus Christ "My Lord and My God"?
Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
John 20:28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Why did the Disciples worship Jesus if He isn't God?
Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
