How to pick posing trunks

When preparing to compete in a bodybuilding competition, how should one go about deciding which style of posing trunks to use?

I thought I heard that one factor is if you have a big waist or small waist, should depend on what style of posing trunks you use.

I also know there are different styles, like French cut, Flex cut, etc.

Any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Get the ones you think you look the best in.
If you can try them on at a retail place(sometimes you can't)take picks of each style on you in the dressing room.
Yo could also seek out a taylor that makes them and they would be able to tell you what looks best.
