Interesting decision to make this week with waivers.
we have (4) teams tied at 5-2. One of the other teams just lost Kerryon Johnson.
I’m sitting 4th in waiver position and wondering if it’s worth a claim for Ty Johnson to possibly block the Kerryon owner from getting him. Ty Johnson doesn’t crack my starting lineup, but certainly don’t want him falling to the other owner.
Kenny Stills is also sitting on waivers, and Houston’s next three opponents give up a lot of fantasy points to WR
if I pass on one of those guys, I probably end up 2nd in waiver position heading in to the playoffs. But we have a deeper bench league, so I’m not sure the true season changing waiver pickup is there this year. Almost all of the high value handcuff guys are already owned

Yeah, that's a tough call.
Is the team that lost Kerryon thin at RB? Ty Johnson is tricky because I could see Detroit signing Ajayi. They'll also use JD McKissic on passing downs. But Ty runs 4.30s and is strong af, watched him at Maryland and he was a monster especially early in his career.
With Fuller out, Stills looks really appealing. I'd probably use the claim on Stills unless the guy with Kerryon is super thin at RB and grabbing Ty would completely cuck him. Also someone with a higher waiver will possibly take one or both of these guys.

I think we are at a point where the New England wide receivers are somewhat like the way we used to view their running backs… Somebody is going to have a great game… But any given week you don’t know which guy that is going to be
Sanu Will probably annoyingly finish as a top 30 wide receiver… But the week to week productions going to be pretty inconsistentMFC

The only WR that is a sure thing is Edelman. He'll always produce. I'm not sure where Sanu will fit in the depth chart, probably #3, so I don't really see him hurting Edelman or Gordon's production too much.
Kareem Hunt practiced with the Browns Monday and set to return week 10. It'll be interesting to see how they utilize him. Browns Owner loves him. With Chubb being the most consistent piece in that offense, it'll be interesting if they start splitting carries. Kareem Hunt is a great talent himself.New England Patriot

Sanu is a very underrated WR. Dependable, consistent and very talented. Sanu isn't going to be Randy Moss 2.0. He'll be a reliable, veteran out there to help the offense.
I think he is a little pricey for the cap space we have, but I heard they're trying to re-work his contract and turned some of his contract into a bonus or something. Next year his cost is $6.5m with is pricey.
I do agree that a 2nd round pick seemed steep, but I'll defer that price to the Patriots who didn't seem to mind.New England Patriot

2 man, .5 PPR, waiver resets the next week in order of claims. 2 adds per week.
FA's I'm considering:
Matthew Stafford, Curtis Samuels, Kenny Stills, Ty Johnson

I'd definitely try to upgrade your QB position, is Stafford the best available?
Beyond that I'd go for Ty Johnson, RB's with value are harder to come by than receivers so if you could get him, even if you don't play him, he could get a TD and then be used as trade bait.Height = 6'3"

Stafford is the best QB available and he has the easiest schedule. I'm somewhat confident in Darnold moving forward. Looking at my team, which of the two should I aim for? I also have Gurley, Jones, and Cooks on bye next week. I know I'd start Stafford over Daniel Jones, but would I even start Ty?

Wasn't looking at your bye weeks but yeah week 9 is rough for you. First I would pick up Stafford, then roll with Stafford or Darnold every week based on match ups (I'm with you Darnold is better than he showed last night and does have a good schedule coming up). Next you need (at least) a WR for week 9. I'd probably try to trade for 1 rather than picking up and banking on Samuels or Stills. Maybe you could trade Gurley and get back a lesser RB+WR. Or even Julio for a lesser WR+RB. I'd also pick up Ty and depending on how things shake up maybe he would be start-able or trade-able for week 9. I'd look at the teams in your league and see who has 3 or more solid WR's then figure out how to trade for 1 of them.
