However, the fact that he was illegal is only statistically relevant if illegals commit a higher percentage of violent crimes than the legal population at large. If they do, then more illegals = a higher chance of violence. If they don't, then illegals would actually dilute the murder pool. Just sayin'.

That said, this woman is dead. That's a tragedy. It’s pretty interesting that even though I said both sides politicizing this. But only one side felt attacked enough to defend themselves. I actually do not want an open border and support attempts to have better border security. Illegal immigration does not benefit anyone outside of the illegal immigrants and those who employ them.

That said, there are a lot of people (not talking about the ones quoted here) who didn’t care about this at all until the identity of the killer makes it a political debate. Capitalizing on someone’s personal tragedy doesn’t make you any better than the SJWs that everyone here hates so much. The conversation about illegal immigration needs to happen regardless of this case.

I'm honestly not really keeping up with the story, so I didn't know he confessed. I was just commenting from a general perspective that the fact that he's an illegal is far more of a political spin thing than anything. Technically, every murder involves someone breaking the law but I understand your point.
