It was originally used to slander anyone who willingly got taken advantage of and even seemed to enjoy it or wear it as a badge of honor, much more common among the left(like Sweden just handing over their country). Cuckservative didn’t come about until it replaced RINO as a term used to describe people who claim conservativism yet help push a liberal agenda that the term originally described anyway, or as yet another attempt by the left to take a derogatory term applied to them and spin it to apply it to their political opponents. You’d think the left with all of their creativity could come up with original words.
