I need to see the vikings play. being raised in packers country i've watched the vikings be trash for the better part of a decade and a half. And i'm not convinced by a 14-17 win over greenbay after what i'm told was one of Rodgers' worst performances to date.
in my mind, this is like the University of Miami being undefeated up until this past week. So maintaining skepticism till they win through eagles and lions in coming weeks. That said:
1: Patriots
2: Falcons
3: Vikings
4: Broncos
5: Green Bay / Steelers / CowboysDCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

this sounds like a copy and paste assessment of what cowboys have been doing so far this year. particularly to the bengals last night. cowboy's defense straight up clowned them.
what you said about bradford is what everyone is saying about dak. not getting spooked in the pocket. makes great decisions. no deep shots down field but enough ezekiel utilization and enough 12 - 20 yard throws to come out with W's.
if vikings win through eagles/lions and cowboys don't go full potato replacing dak with tony homo, then that Vikings Cowboys matchup december 2nd is gonna be must see tvDCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

the Vikings DEFENSE is the real deal. you said it yourself, bradford is doing just enough to help. But I feel like he will be their downfall. might not be in the regular season, but definitely in the playoffs.
its looking like the rest of their schedule is relatively easy. AZ, Dallas' defenses may give them fits. Green Bay is looking for redemption. But Minny will probably go 12-4 if the defense keeps playing at a high level.

Based off what we have seen this year.
1. Falcons (Can't argue beating last years two SB teams back to back)
2. Vikings (Impressive start and we are starting to see some Offense)
3. Patriots (Brady is back and they look to be the class of the AFC)
4. Seahawks (Shaky start but have looked impressive the past 2 weeks along with #1 defense. This Sunday will show us a lot)
5. Bronco's (Yesterdays game wasn't as close as the score showed. Bronco's lack balance this year)
Philly/Dallas (I'm not buying into the hype)
Steelers (I have a hard time placing a team in the top 5 who just recently got wrecked 34-3 by the Eagles.

I'm a HUGE Cowboys fan, but the Dallas D is no where near the realm of Minnesota. Yesterday was a massive over-achievement for the Dallas D. They are playing well this year, but they are not dictating the game. They bend, but don't break. No big plays, let the opposing team dink and dunk and run time off the clock. It works for the talent they have.
Vikings defense is ferocious. Tons of pressure up front, forcing turnovers and making QBs look terrible.
Dallas's offense controls how well their defense plays, but Minnesotas defense controls how well the offense plays. If The Vikings offense falls behind 2-3 scores they do not have the firepower to catch up. In contrast if Dallas's offense doesn't stay on the field, and burn the clock with long drives and pound Elliot, the defense will be very vulnerable.
Agree that the Vikes/Cowboys could be a huge matchup with playoff seeding implications if things keep going the way they are.
Agreed. See my quote above. Without the defense, the offense will suffer. They are basically running the same formula as Denver last year. Bradford is an upgrade over what Denver worked with last year at QB however, but he as no offensive weapons right now with Diggs out.6'1 - 240lbs

There is a reason for this, the Vikings D. I'm always skeptical with Minnesota being a fan since birth so I understand what you are saying. Lots of history blowing huge games. The common theme this year is the Vikes D is the real deal. I have to laugh when people talk about the Vikings opponents as just having a off day. They had a off day because Zimmer knows how to game plan and he has massive amounts of high quality depth at all 3 levels on D. The biggest questions marks are health at the oline and Bradford.
I'm fine with your 1-4 picks.

Well there's this thing in football called, your defense being on the field the majority of the game and getting tired because your offense can't move the ball and gets constant 3 and outs. You could have the 85 Bears defense out there and if they're on the field the whole game they're not going be worth a damn by the third quarter.
