Only lift that matters to what? You can gain size and strength with any leg exercise. Are squats better for overall leg mass? Probably, but my legs blew up the most on a leg press.
Legs 2x a week, one strength, one for hypertrophy. Squats and RDL's on power day, Extensions/Curls on Hypertrophy days. Leg press on both.

I do but i can barely train them properly due to severe knee problems and a lower back injury (that destroyed my life.. fuuk).
It used to be my fav body part until I wasn't able to squat and DL anymore.Basic Football / Sports Training Guide:

I do - sort of. I got dem dere 50% endomorph genes and they all seem to be in my torso and thighs. So, I got a short torso, love handles, and thick thighs without the definition.
When I train legs, it's to cut fat and create definition, definitely not trying to grow them. Distance running, light weight/high rep squats, and kettle bell lunges.AP7 Crew

I train legs but I hate it. I am tall and have back issues so it just hurts like hell everytime, and not the good hurt. My form is fine I have been lifting for 10+ years, have had multiple coaches/trainers watch me, including sports physical therapist etc... Our bodies just arent built to be continuously squatting and deadlifting heavy weight
On top of that who the **** cares about a leg pump, aint nobody looking at your legs in the gym, MAYBE your calves, and when you have all that blood flowing to your legs its just going to make your upper body look smaller. Leg day is the ****tiest day of the week.**worthless college major crew**

i go through periods. may go 2-3 weeks without training legs. at the moment it's once per week but mainly leg press, extensions, calf raises, maybe some light good mornings etc. due to lower back issues i don't squat any more.
i can pistol squat though - although only on my right leg, don't seem to have the balance on my left.
