@caprica
Sounds to me like you're doing great!
Never looked into WW, but they have to be doing something right!
Lots of hype about it.
Good for you!

^sheesh. That statement hit me hard. I'm not from that area or anything. I've always lived on the east coast.
...
And got d*mnit. I check in exclusively via an old iPad and my phone right now. The forum pages jump around on me when they load and refresh on their own and I end up clicking on people's names instead of the threads. Sorry, NoCarbs. (no stalker)
Lolstart where you are

@caprica: Thanks for the detailed post on how WW works! I always wondered but now that you broke it down it sounds simple enough. And great to know it worked for you in the past. I know what you mean about feeling like you need real life support, that's something i lack here because no one really has any weight issues (or i should say to my extent) and so i'm unable to identify with anyone in real life about my issues. Bb (and all the great peeps on it...or at least the peeps in the fat loss log section haha) have helped me so much in this aspect because i was finally able to say all the things i've ever wanted to say about my weight and weightloss journey without feeling judged and always got support and encouragement that has helped keep me going.
just saw this on one of bb.com'stagram post...
"If it's important to you, you will find a way.
If not, you'll find an excuse"
I don't know if it's an original or if someone else wrote it.
Nonetheless, I like that line!=================

I think it will be.
I already started the first unit.
There are five units:
1. Why Home Cooking Matters
2. What Constitutes a Balanced Meal
3. From Supermaket to Dinner Table to School
4. Sustainable Eating
5. Labels, Allergies and Taste
The course is taught to parents who want to improve their children's nutrition.
I am going to use it for that, but I took it mostly to learn for myself.
Selfish, I know...
It was the only course they had open at this time.
I think I'm going to enjoy it.
My favorite part is that it is a flexible schedule, so I am not stuck to a calendar.
I am a very fast reader and like to do big chunks of work at one time.
Looking forward to it.

Yes. I am sure my children will benefit from this, as will I.
I am always learning something.
I am a doctorate student right now.
A couple years left.
Not studying Nutrition though.
Always reading/studying/writing something.
no bragging, but...
It helps that I took a couple courses on speed reading a few years back.
So I read very fast.
I completed this course on my own...
And also have some experience with Howard Berg's work.
He is the world's fastest reader.
Here's one book of his that I've used.
Pretty cool guy and easy to talk to.
Never met him in person, but I chatted with him in a live online conference a couple times.
no bragging though
