I have HVAC problems in the new house, have been too lazy to address them though. I have tri-level 2900sq ft home with two units outside (one upper, one middle), but the lower level is not tied into either system (WTF). Its not terrible, but in the winter its a tad chilly and in the summer just a bit humid. Looking into maybe installing a mini-split unit to cover it (900sq ft), but the only quote I got was around $4k!!!!

But the cost of the unit itself is far less than a grand ($600-$800), so what are they doing with the other 3k? Its a hole cut through the wall, wire run from the electric panel, and then special tools required. I about told him to F@CK off, I'll buy the tools and start installing them on the weekends to pay for mine LOL

I got two quotes, about $5500 and $5900 for a Mitsubishi, approx 1 ton. here is a 15000 btu, about 1.25 ton, for 1400

Installation should be 1-2k, depending upon how much electrical work they have to do. This is based upon the find an installer search on the a wholesalers site. There are some pioneer units on Amazon with good reviews. I hope to have one installed in my basement garage by next summer.I quote with pics. ()---() York Barbell Club #78 (DD) ()---()

I just now saw your post above. I've never dealt with Rick before. I think he might do free shipping on Black Friday, but honestly, you'd have to ask him that. I believe he will do custom work, no reason why you couldn't ask him about making a deluxe model wheelbarrow if that is what you really want.

This has nothing to do with equipment or Black Friday, but I know some of you guys listen to metal when you're lifting...
This is the first single from my oldest son's band. He produced it and played guitar.
It's also available for download from Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, etc.
Shameless promotion, I know...but I'm really proud of him and wanted to share it with you guys."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I'm not a fan of this kind of metal generally, so my comments aren't informed. I had a listen to this, and I found the production quality quite good. Props to your son!
I think the music was also good. I can't be sure if it's unique and inspired or just derivative. I'm just not versed in the genre. There is some talent there, this much I'm confident in saying. How long has this band been together?Clive, you're a good guy. - AttyGuy

Lol, thanks.
Generally, when people say their kid is in a band, it's some sort of garage/basement "band", not a performing band. His previous band played at several Atlanta area clubs, and the current band will be no different.
They're still working on the rest of the album and want to have it finished before they start performing live, so they can fill a complete set with their own music. It'll also allow them to sell some CDs and merchandise at the shows to make a bit of $$$. Clubs often take a pretty hefty chunk of the ticket sales when amateur bands play. Sucks, but you have to pay your dues."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Not sure how long the singer, drummer, and other guitarist have been together, but the bass player is fairly new and my son has been with them for about 6 months or so. He has a studio/practice area upstairs, so that's where this song was recorded and produced.
Not too shabby for a 17 yr old kid, imo."What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I need a confirmation that the rack come apart. I can see bolts on the sides, but the seller told me it's 1 piece. Thanks. Also it's about a 5.5 hour round trip.

I don't know that much about tarantulas. A quick Google search shows that there's a type known as the "Arizona Blond Tarantula", but I have no idea if the one in my photo is of that type of some other type.
We don't see many tarantulas while hiking. I think I've seen perhaps half a dozen in nearly 30 years of living in AZ.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

@KBKB good looking pictures, as usual
I got a chance to test out the new bench with some light bench pressing this morning. the pad gap on this thing is real: 2.5 inches. but luckily the back pad is longer and the gap isn't an issue for my height. the wider back pad is very nice. the height is also nice as it puts me in a better spot to use the safeties compared to my bodymaster bench and i don't really notice a problem with being a little more elevated off of the floor...Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

No matter which side you're on, there's no doubt these are the two most ridiculous choices ever to be made.
