    Low calorie intake causing extreme fatigue

    Hello everyone, I know that this may be a little out of place but I thought that the people in this thread would know about this topic so I'm going to give it a go.

    My girlfriend is about 5'5" tall and weighs between 110 and 115lbs. She has always been very thin and does not each much. She only eats breakfast and lunch, and I'm estimating less than 1000 calories a day.

    For the past 3 years she has been very tired. She works full time at a farm so she is active during the day. She gets home from work and stays awake until about 6 or 7pm and then falls asleep until I get home from work around 11pm. She stays awake for 15 minutes to say hello to me, then falls back asleep until 7am.

    She is currently seeing doctors about her excessive sleep, but I think it might just be malnutrition. Have any of you ever been able to maintain a sub 1000 calorie diet and have energy? Please let me know I am concerned about her health and I would really appreciate any input.

    She needs to start eating properly before she becomes ill. A sub 1000 calorie diet wouldn't work for anybody let alone someone working on a farm.
