jacare isn't afraid to scrap, and weidman would be foolish to try to take jacare down. He isn't on jacare's level on the ground, I dont care who he thinks he is.
Everyone is drinking waaay too much weidman kool-aid. Mousasi is no slouch on the ground, and jacare subbed him.

He can hold his own from the top. Everybody respected in submission grappling who has tangled with Weidman speaks very, very highly about his ability.

The first win was anderson being an idiot, and the second a total fluke. Everyone knows this, and if they don't they're the ones doing the USA USA chants. The last I saw, anderson was getting comfortable and tagging weidman pretty good before the leg break. You never know what's going to happen, and if the fight goes to the ground, (and don't be surprised if jacare puts weidman on his back) there's a chance weidman gets subbed.

the peds definitely should not be discounted, but in this fight his skills were definitely worse. He used to be a lot better at punishing fighters for making mistakes like being out of position or over-showing strikes. After Ben successfully walked through a bunch of his strikes, he definitely was at a loss. He had a number of chances to counter in that fight--Rothwell was really showing those uppercuts for instance . He's also too used to guys just fading from his knees or something because he doesn't have any immediate followup attacks once he lands that strike and guys disengage. That's been very noticeable lately.
I doubt the Reem will stay at Jackson's, but you never know. TBH, if any camp fits him, I think he should go to AKA. If he's going to ever crack the top 5 again, he's got to improve his defense, especially with his hands, and he's got to add a few combos as well as learn to handle pressure better.Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):
