Finally back this week is Dark Nights Metal with #4.

Feels like forever since I got into it (since I binged all of Metal after 3 came out). This event has been amazing IMO and super excited to see what else it brings. I think Hawkman Found also comes out this week.

What's the story with Hawkman? I saw him show up in #4 and couldn't figure out why that is a big deal.

I got Flashpoint and the Mr. Miracle collection by Jack Kirby.

I've seen the Flashpoint movie before reading the book. I gotta say. I might like the movie more, since it went into detail with Diana murdering Aquamans squeeze. The book is still cool and glad to have it in my collection.

Anybody reading Phoenix Resurrection? They are really setting it up to bring back alot of dead X characters here. Although there is one i thought wasn't dead, spoilers to see who.

Magneto is seen to be in this "dead area" where alot of other dead X characters are. When he shows up in the living world, he is as his old 90s costume. Then appears back into the dead area. I was under the impression Magneto wasn't dead.

But what if he was. And the one after House of M was an imposter this whole time? So maybe we will get a super powerful Magneto back.

He has like 5 origins and his background in general is a complete mess. Not sure if its just rumors or if it will happen, but they're pretty much re-booting him with Rebirth. They released Hawkman Found last week but I didn't read it because no stores had new books and didn't bother this week. But I think it gives the backstory to how Carter Hall becomes Hawkman and Barbatos' dragon (or the keeper of Forge World now).

Not sure how Snyder is going to wrap up Metal in 2 issues, but hoping he wraps it up nicely and not a mess like some of his Batman stories.

I'm torn on Batman, it's alright, but it isn't the masterpiece some people are making it out to be.

Almost anything from Image Comics is good. Saga, Descender, Wicked + Divine, Fables (Vertigo not Image), Locke and Key (IDW not Image). Scratch off Locke and Key and Fables for still being made, but both are some of the best stories ever written in comics, especially Locke and Key.

Do some quick googling on 'New 52'. That should help if it's DC you're interested in.

Image comics aren't complicated. Just find an interesting series and they'll be ordered numerically.

Bruh, fuk New 52. Outside of like 6 or 7 titles, N52 was trash garbage.


Finding the beginning of arcs is easy, just google it. Plenty of sites out there to tell you. Or just post a bunch of stuff you're interested in and I'll tell you where it starts.

Most Image stuff is straight forward what an arc is, it's just the trade. DC all has their stuff numbered. Marvel arcs are there own trades, I don't buy Marvel though.

Pick up some DC Rebirth trades, then you can keep up with single issues of the ones you like. Trades are 5-6 issues and usually contain a story arc.

In general Hellboy is good. The recent Hellboy / Krampus single issue was phenomenal.

I only read the first issue of Tom King’s vision. Picked up the hardcover today. It’s beautiful. It’ll be the first Marvel book I’ve read in quite awhile.

Rather than having the main character looking like ass, wouldn't it make more sense to just make a second costume fit to the stunt double? That just doesn't seem like the area you want to try and cut some of the budget. Unless there's just some movie magic that will make it look less like ass.

The framing of the photo doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the framing if the footage. For all we know, these are just closeup scenes showing her face and shoulders.

The only iconic things about Danvers have been her original costume and the fact that she was used as a catalyst to create Rogue(a far more interesting character). That's it. All else is bland, formulaic mumbo jumbo that always sucked. You already know what's coming down the pipeline with this one: female, blonde, Air Force, and whatever other hamhanded garbage they can make up on the spot.

I’ve been thinking that either Captain America or Iron Man would permanently die. One or the other. I’m starting to lean more towards Captain America because it seems like, given the timing, Captain Marvel is being brought in to take over the leadership role.
