Of course. That doesn't contradict my advice that you should approach dates with your goals in mind. But those can also be long term goals. You can escalate with a girl and stop short of going to yours or hers. She's much more likely to hold thoughts of attraction toward you forward than just chatting with you all night about nothing. Being witty and charming in a sexual way is such a small step from being witty and charming in a platonic way that it doesn't make sense not to do it unless you are friendzoning the girl. That's a lot of the reason why you'll get friendzoned back in that situation--the girl will be confused why you're not going that 1% extra to be flirtatious and assume that you can, you're just not interested.
After I move out of Albany I'm gonna write a megapost on 6 months of casual dating up here. As much as I lament short term frustrations from time to time, these last 4+ months have probably taught me more about people, myself, and general dating than any other time in my life... even college.
I will, however, admit that at times I have been a little bit of a slut in the name of learning. Pushing the envelope to see how powerful some of these forces are. Yet, even so, no one has left heartbroken or hating me, at least to my knowledge. You can go a lot farther than you think. That's all I'll say. Feel free to judge me for that. I'm comfortable with my moral boundaries.

I just took that as a nice turn down.
I get the feels she peaks at what I'm doing but we don't really make eye contact anymore. Even if I try. Probably just over thinking this cause oneitis or some crap

IMO I wouldn't do that. No offense, but if you give her a cringy 'hey you're beautiful', then ask for a # and don't get it, you're probably negative points in her books, and you're now in the position that you need to win her over, not offer another boring generic line like "hey how's it going".

Well the girl is always less likely to make the move... especially in a gym... especially after she's turned you down once...

What you say to her largely depends on how she views you... if she thinks you're this creepy awkward guy, then the line I posted above (post #848) clearly wouldn't work... but if she thinks your just a nice funny guy, then it very well could be a decent opener

I have no idea what kind of person she thinks I am. I prance around the gym in a good mood doing whatever I want most of the time. So she could think I'm weirdo for all I know.

If you can't read the situation, then I would just take the chance and don't use any 'safe' lines like "hey hows it going". Maybe change up the other line to be something like (wait until you catch her staring) "I know my ass is like a 10 out of 10, but you don't need to stare. (I know you're probably)(You're obviously) a little bit jealous... let me take you for a drink and I'll tell you my secret". If she doesn't find humor in that, then fuk her lol

The second one works best on Tinder because they can't accuse you of cheating using the more detailed other profile info. The basically forced follow up is something like "oh yeah, what can you tell about me?" followed by me doing some horoscope-esque writing that takes a very specific pattern or characteristic and uses it to infer a very general personality trait. I'm about 10/10 on a "that's amazing" or "I'm impressed, that's me except for this one thing" kind of reaction to it, and I don't think it's any specific skills that I have that are getting results--anyone can do it. I can post examples, but definitely worth a shot.

According to the rheumatologist it just needs time. I tried doing some pushups and pullups over the weekend to see if something less aggressive like an Upper/Lower or a PPL would make it manageable and I just felt like garbage the next day. It sucks because while I'm not lifting my body is jettisoning muscle pretty quick, I look and feel significantly smaller already. I'm down to 228 despite not changing my diet by a significant amount; my body just doesn't want to hold onto this muscle right now.

Monkay was mentioning to me that maybe you could just do a higher volume lower intensity type of training. More similar to (and I'm sorry I can't think up a better example) crossfit. That the intensity of PL is just going to be too hard on you. It seems you've already started to test that out though, but at least this is another person coming to the same conclusion as you.
