Robin Williams was 63 years old. 63. In the first world, that seems young now, but frankly, that's a reflection of how lucky we are to be living in this day and age. Robin Williams dying isn't tragic. The man had the resources to live his life as he pleased for almost his entire adult life, and yet FB is riddled with posts about how sad it is that he's dead, because people are selfish.
"I'm sad because Robin Williams made me happy for a few hours, so I'm going to whine on FB about how sad I am."
Robin Williams died, probably, having accomplished everything he wanted to in life. If you're "saddened" by his death, it's either because A), you're mad at the idea that he'll no longer be providing you enjoyment (how selfish of you) or B) you're (again, selfishly) imposing your will on his decision about when and how he was going to die, and under what terms he was ok with doing so.
We're all, all of us, going to die. Robin Williams died, on his own terms, after having lived a life filled to the brim with luxury. We should all be so lucky.

Not the slightest bit sad about Robin Williams's passing

Compassion and reverence not even once.
If anything he deserves our respect for a life well lived, for some that comes in the form of sadness."There is no one right way, everyone is different"

OP why such negativity? What ever happened to the days where we can just be respectful for the death of someone who we have been entertained by and looked up to ever since we were kids? Why do people always try to by hipsters and say something negative just so they can stand out from the pack?
Sure he died on his own terms, but depression is something that will kill you mentally. I haven't experienced it so I can't say "oh man up and stop being sad". I've had someone close to me take his own life because of depression (his wife got killed in a vehicle accident, no kids, was alone because his parents were both deceased). Sometimes life gets the best of you and some people just can't handle it.

On the fence about this. I never support the amount of 'sadness' that follows a celebrity's death, especially someone like Paul Walker who died in the circumstances he did.
However, Robin Williams seemed like one of the few genuinely respectable actors out there, and he suffered from depression and mental illness.

Just because you state options A and B, it doesn't negate C-Z with a myriad of reasons attached to each one. Some people could be personally affected by suicide, the loss of a human life tragically by their own hands... You also know exactly what you were hoping to accomplish by throwing your "starting rep power" at the end as well.
Wow, thanks for stating how unaffected you are with some pseudo intellectual rhetoric thrown in. Good for you. Do you want a biscuit?
You're no worse than the attention seeking bitches that one miscer was complaining about, using someone's death as a platform to make themselves visible. Pathetic.
