I too always get a weird vibe from that guy. He tries to not come off as snakes oils man and makes dumb claims he's not selling out whatever but charges like 2000 dollars for online strength coaching and also sell expensive ebooks lol. That guy is a snakes oils man inside and out and the bioenergetic stuff he does really stupid. He's full of bullchit anyway, I've been realizing it for a few months lol, and nowadays I don't bother watching him or other youtubers because I think it's a waste of time.

I do enjoy watching your channel and a few other legit ones like e.g. (Candito, OmarIsuf, Biolayne, and other cool powerlifting channels).

Anyways **** that snakes oil man and it's time to rebuild yourself again man.

I saw some of Elliot's early stuff, thought he seemed okay. Never been big on this youtube fitness stuff now, it's saturated as hell now and everyone and their mother is now a "fitness guru" seeking subscribers and hits.

If I had to guess, it was a combination of..

a) biting off more than they could chew (no one wants to be an unpaid intern forever, so they may eventually have to pay people...so they may not have calculated that extra cost)

b) from the comments, you were holding your own and Elliot seems to be the center of attention. So if you were showing him up in any way, that could tarnish his image pretty bad. Imagine a 100lb guy lifting the same weight as a 200lb guy, and nobody has ever heard of this new kid who is just as strong and as athletic as the star of the show. Not good for business, not good for ego either.

c) he may want interns to do some good things, but also he wants to show how much they can learn from him on camera...if the intern seems to be so well rounded that on camera they aren't being taught/corrected any mistakes, then the videos lose their worth. If Elliot literally has nothing to correct on your technique/knowledge, then it reflects poorly on him. I've been at a facility where some of the stronger guys there help teach/coach newbies, yet they still get tons of advice and experience by learning from the boss himself. Same thing here.

d) He may not keep any interns.. a lot of times gyms mess around with formats (changing up the membership/pay scheme as an example) and in this case he may realize having interns detracts from his own message or means he is not the center of attention.

Keep doing your thing OP. Work towards your own gym if that's what you want. I would use youtube only as an assistance to help get you where you want...you may find that its great for marketing and may only blow up after you have something tangible for people to access.
