Hey all!
Really long time since I have posted in here as I rarely have time to get on the misc anymore..
Hope all is well, nice to see all of you still post here and that DarkNinja is back to smoking haha.
Was wondering if Mike still posts here? Use to order sticks off him and wanted to see if he was still doing that. I have his insta but he hasnt posted in ages so I thought this may be a better bet. (Can't remember his exact username and I know there's like 6 Mikes that post in here regularly but I am fairly confident you guys know who I am talking about)
Thanks guys!!If you want to be a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.

Saturday was far too hot to be outside smoking. Sunday was better so I smoked this guy out of VBogdanovic's company's sampler. I believe it was called a "Blind man's Bluff".
It was a very mild smoke with a very loose draw. Could probably benefit from a higher RH in my humi, but most of my regulars benefit from a 62-65 RH. It had some nice mild pepper and spice notes. Again, these notes were more mild than what I am used to. I probably wouldn't search it out to buy it again, but it was still a enjoyable stick, just not up my alley.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

looking for some quality cigars. On the lighter side. I've had the following in the past and my mouth tends to go numb and not being able to finish a stick in one sitting....I'm assuming this is b/c it was too strong. So looking for some quality mild not too long (can be smoked in one session).

Back from banned camp. Particular mod has it out for me but I'll let it go.
Smoked this after a hard day of working on my boat.
Kinda losing my taste for cubans. Probably going to start saving the supply for special occasions and focus more on NC's. I find NC's just to have more "character.""There are no victims, only volunteers. You volunteer by looking uncertain and afraid. Thank you bro!
Nice, I plan on having 1 of these on my boat this weekend.
That being said, I find NC's to be really 1 dimensional and only on front of palat. I feel like the difference in flavour profile and taste in CC's is more subtle but have a depth that the NC's lack.
Maybe you and DarkNinja are just old and your taste buds are fried haha.If you want to be a man at night, you gotta be a man in the morning.

Yup. I've definitely gravitated to the more full body sticks.
I think the problem is he and I smoke a lot of heavy stuff. I smoke a lot Maduro's and dark dark Nics/Doms. The cubans definitely give you the more earthy traditional tobacco feel. I think I'm going to look into more full-body C's. Bolivar, etc."There are no victims, only volunteers. You volunteer by looking uncertain and afraid. On my last day at the current job. I will be stopping at the B&M on the way home to get a celebration stick for being done here and starting the new job ahead. Couldn't be more excited right now.
Will be smoking a La Antiguidad this weekend and maybe something else if I have time.

Got screwed over on Cigar Monster the other night. Had 10 LGC Gilded Age Magnum in my cart and 5 JDN Dark Corojo Robusto and they canned the deal like 20 min ahead of time. It would have worked out to 15 cigars for $45 shipped. So mad. That's been my go to for re-upping the stash.

Last Friday was my last day at my last job so I stopped by the B&M on the way home for something to celebrate with. Pic below of what I picked up
God of Fire Serie Aniversario 2014, LP L40 and a LFD Chapter 1
The owner of the shop threw in the LFD for free when he heard I had accepted a new position. I had been in there 2 weeks earlier and was talking to him about it. Real stand up owner and management overall at this place.
Smoked the GOF that night while watching some storms roll in.
Such a good cigar! Even though it was medium at best the smooth creamy nuttiness was great. I very much enjoyed this stick!Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

Smoked this Blanco Nine last night that I got out of our fellow Misc brahs sampler.
I had heard great things about these and have always wanted to try them. This was a very good stick. Medium to full body with a great creamy, dessert like sweetness through the first half. After that it kept the creamy taste but added an earthy, roasted nuttiness. A very enjoyable stick overall. I could defiantly see myself getting a box of these. Makes me want to try the Lancero even more now.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

You don't offer one-off buys of a crate, do you? I know some subscription boxes let you buy a test box, essentially, but it doesn't look like yous do.
How long did it take you guys to develop a palate for cigars? To be able to differentiate the different notes and appreciate the subtleties between cigars?MMMC

I am on a month to month billing that I can cancel at anytime.
I took me a quite a few smokes. I also watched reviews online, mainly from cigarobsession on Youtube to get an idea of the notes I should be looking for. Gave me a better idea of what I should be expecting.Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society. ~ Aristotle

almost immediately for me. tasting has a large part to do with memory recall. you can't pick out a flavor if you've never tasted it before. for some, it's not important to distinguish the notes. IMO, quantifying WHY you like something helps you in picking out other cigars that will suit your taste buds. writing notes is helpful.

This stick was too green. I need to let the rest age a little. I have some Partagas D-4's that have about 4 years on them so I'll probably smoke through those first. Switching back to NC's for a while.

Smoked this guy yesterday evening. A good stick, but defiantly not worth the price. Strong damp tobacco and earthy notes throughout. No real transitions. For a Lancero from Drew Estates at this price point I really expected more.

Yep, as stated above, its month to month. I don't ever want customers to feel locked in. I just finalized August's lineup. It's going to be a heavy hitter. Good mix of full/medium bodied smokes. I plan on catering to people's preferences in the future though. Most people like medium/full but others tend to gravitate towards the mild smokes. Thats the beauty of the industry though, to each their own

Not a ton of time to smoke this weekend, but was able to sneak in a LP Undercrown last night. Very good as always. Hope all you 'Murica brahs had a good 4th and still have all of your fingers.
