    Fat Fast/Kekwick Diet?

Hey there. I'm looking for a quick boost back into ketosis and also to drop a few lbs a little quicker. I already follow a low carb lifestyle and have for years. Im just looking for a boost for some added motivation in the fast loss dept.
Anyone here ever try the Atkins Fat Fast otherwise known as the Kekwick and Pawan diet?
Im not looking to follow it for long as it's too low in calories. If you haven't heard of it, basically it's a 1,000 calorie/day diet with 80-90% coming from fat. You eat 5 200 calorie meals throughout the day, stuff like deviled eggs, cream chesse, macadamia nuts, etc.
If you have tried it just curious, any luck?

The protocol is associated with rapid loss of body weight, but it's not a healthy way to lose weight even when practiced for a brief period of time.

That said, some reports suggest greater loss of body fat during a "fat fast" than during a total calorie fast, at least over a period of one week or less.

I have not and there's virtually no research on the subject that I'm aware of but this very old study.

tried it before - you will definitely lose weight but it isn't fun.
In my opinion you're better off doing a meat & egg fast (very simple - u only eat meat and eggs and whatever oil/butter you cook it in) and not reallllly worry about the calories. Just make sure you get enough fat.
It's virtually the same effect - the goal is to bring the carbs down to almost 0 which is why it is called the 'fat fast'

I'm on it now, on day three, have lost 6 lbs, most of which I'm guessing is water weight as even though I drink about 2 litres a day I usually have quite a lot of salt.
It's not that bad, I'm quite enjoying it!

I've tried in when I first started - but just for 2 days. I was just starting low carb, then went on vacation and pigged out , so to restart the keto plan, I did 2 days of fat-fasting... it was great - lost 4lbs yeah (again, water weight I'm sure) - but the mental boost was awesome Good kick-start, dunno about the other benefits though. Good luck!
