A good tip is to choose a major that has a job title in it.

    Good - Engineering, Engineer

    Bad - Philosophy, ???

Engineering is very stressful. I just keep pushing through it telling myself that the 5 years of stress will have its payoffs for the next 50 or so years of my life.

If you have to ask here you're pretty much screwed.

I will offer this piece of advice, however: Look for majors that offer a 5th year masters program. Those are usually legit degrees and for one extra year you walk out with a masters degree. I did this and it was pretty much the best decision of my life.

all majors suck these days. all lead to jobs with no work-life balance. Unless youre really gifted in somethign that pays well (math genius) all major will lead to a corporate rat race full of backstabbing and dick pulling the way to the top right before you die

would it be a wise decision to go into accounting? it seems its not as hard as other STEM degrees, but can make a decent amount of $ and can land a job pretty quickly after undergrad?

Shoulda just majored in Philosophy and then got your MBA or something. Look up the statistics about Philosophy majors and how they rank for graduate programs in other fields like Law, Medicine, MBA, GRE etc.

But do what you do playa

    PM'd btw.

Oh and ****, I forgot, you should check out http://www.philosophytalk.org/

Every sunday morning 10AM PST is their show or you can check their free shows on the site. It is run by the two top Stanford Philosophy professors, they are the hosts.

Being east coast you can listen live on the internet.

WAIT, I just realized the current free stream they mention Hume and talk about his for a second. lol
