Cold showers are the ****. I had some insomnia today because of some family problems and woke up feeling like crap. After the cold shower was in a good mood and energized.
Gonna meditate 20 minutes then start studying. Big exam in 3-5 days.+++ 52 books in 52 weeks 2016 crew (28/52) +++

Been doing some of these things the last couple of days without being aware of this thread but in... For sure
Couple of things I have been doing that helped
Progressive overload your meditation just like it was any other lift
Like today do 2sets of 8minutes
Tommorow do 2 sets of 8min 5 secs
Eventually getting to two 20 minute sessions.
Contrast shower makes it alot easier for those just getting into cold shower , also when you turn the water from hot to cold do it in small intervals and always let the water change temp as its hitting the back of your neck, as this will let the rest of your body adapt quickly.
I do alot of Raquetball mobility and stretching stuff , if your interested in that look up Kelly starrett on YouTube .
Lift heavy! For aesthetics and strength

Hey guys. Did everything I set out to today, kept me busy.
My grandmother died today and meditation helped me to get my mind clear since for some hours I felt like I couldn't think.
Here's a quote I want to share with you that usually helps me to get through bad times, and it helped alot today:
"I once read a book about Zen. In Zen, you know, they don’t teach with a lot of explanation. For instance, if a monk is falling asleep during meditation, they come with a stick and “whack!” they give him a hit on the back. When the erring disciple is hit, he shows his gratitude by thanking the attendant. In Zen practice one is taught to be thankful for all the feelings which give one the opportunity to develop." - Ajahn Chah
So, remember, every pain, annoyance, distraction, is an opportunity to get better, to develop discipline, to develop endurance, focus. So we should always try and be grateful, no matter how hard it gets.
Gonna head out to bed. Good luck for the rest of the month, God Mode Crew.+++ 52 books in 52 weeks 2016 crew (28/52) +++

You don't have to wake up much earlier. If you're gonna meditate 10 minutes, just wake up 20 minutes earlier. It's not that much, and 20 minutes of sleep isn't gonna make you alot more rested.
I personally don't meditate in the morning, I do it right before or after lunch, and then before going to bed. You can do it this way if it fits your schedule better.+++ 52 books in 52 weeks 2016 crew (28/52) +++
