They out both good. My preference is for Modern BCAA+. There's some extra aminos in it that makes the profile more comprehensive. I also like the excessive amount of leucine in the product.

Xtend all the way is the better choice! The extra aminos in Modern seems to be a filler in my opinion because they are not essential aminos. The added aminos seem like a copy of cheap whey protein products.

Modern BCAA+ mixes fine actually. Recently started using it after running low on Aminolast. World of difference compared to the old Modern BCAA product.

Also like the glycine and taurine content in it.

As long as its not being used to bump up the protein content on protein supplements. LoL.

Since this is a intra-workout, it's fine and they have their uses during ones workout.

Tried Modern when it first came out but it caused me stomach bloat. Also it doesn't mix well and is foamy.

I am not a fan of proprietary blend BCAA products. Also, XTEND uses the same ratio of BCAAs that are used in clinical studies, so the random 8:1:1 or 16:1:1 ratios are basically leucine with smaller amounts of isoleucine and valine. Might as well buy bulk leucine at that point...

i havent tried xtend, but i've been very happy with the modern BCAA+ from usplabs tastes pretty good to. it seems to be a lighter taste, not like a super high fructose corn syrup candy drink.
i'd buy the modern again once i run out of my 4 tubs i currently have

I also think this mixes great, I've been drinking it for the past 25 days now and enjoy it, it also tastes great.

I've used both and they are both good products. Like the others ha e said, xtend tends to mix a little better and the taste was better. Though the modern doesn't taste bad at all.

If one wants a really economical way to go: bulk modern BCAA by USPPowders.

80 servings, $30. Can't beat that.

I like modern bcaa personally. Mixes easily for me and it tastes like a flavored water. So it's not overpowering with sweetness or anything.

Modern bcaa IS more potent with bcaas and more importantly LEUCINE.
it mixes fine ( just needs to sit a few mins). Leucine is always going to foam a little.
Glycine and taurine are in it because they are depleted during training.
Good formula.
Xtend is definitely number 2 IMO though, also has the electrolytes and tastes great.

i prefer modern over xtend. For me the more Leucine doenst = a better workout. 1 scoop of modern works the same as 2 scoops. I definatlly like Taurine in my intra. It gives me a little boost half way through. OP you gotta buy 1 tub of each and compare. Or if you have a buddy ask him for 1 scoop. YOu should know right away if its good or not. Its not like creatine that takes 2 weeks to kick in.

I agree, quality leucine will foam. It's like a cold beer or pop... foam settles... get on with life. The taste of the new upgraded Modern BCAA+ blue raspberry is on point! I love it. It definitely has my pick.

i find that xtend goes lumpy after a few weeks of opening the container. Ive used 5 90 servings bottles since the start of 2012 and found the same each time! need to give it a good shake in the shaker

Strawberry kiwi is probably me new favorite. Between that and lemon lime sour. I've used both op and I always go back to Xtend for the ingredient profile and the taste.

Really like that there's no food coloring in Modern BCAA+, the watermelon flavor is great. Contains more amino's than most other BCAA supplements.
