I can't *possibly* be the only one who feels this way, right? Other women work out for the sake of looking hot, right?? My main quest is to get a bigger butt/wider hips (the butt part has worked...hips are on their way....) and women at the gym always give me crap for this!

I have a boyfriend and he is a really sweet guy. He doesn't put a lot of pressure on me to look perfect, but in the past he has made his "ideals" clear (most of them mesh with what I look like naturally, so that's awesome). Of course, it's good not to let yourself go and he likes some muscle tone, so I'm usually in the gym for the purpose of looking my best and feeling good about myself. Looking good (to men, specifically my boyfriend) is important to me.

Alright, here is my input:

I doubt he has anything against you. If he makes you happy and you make him happy, he most likely loves you just the way you are. I have claimed "ideals" with a girl before, but it's because she was being kunty and trying to mess with my head when her hormones were being sh**y around her monthly visit or when her fat/jealous/single friends were trying to get into her head and corrupt her mind to keep her down.

However whenever I discuss this with other women they often assume A.) that I'm in an emotionally abusive relaitonship or B.) I have self esteem issues or C.) I'm being facetious. I'm really not and I find it hard to believe I'm the *only* woman who works out for the sake of looking sexy. Of course I'd like to be healthy too, but I'm pretty open about wanting to have a more curvaceous figure and having that be my #1 motivation for weight lifting.

A) The opinions of other people in regards to YOUR relationship should not matter to you when you're discussing your health/fitness, especially if he makes you happy. Some of them may subconsciously be jealous (are they single or in abusive relationships themselves?).

B) Do you actually have self-esteem issues, or do they? If you do, have you done something to cause him to put you in that position? Be honest. I know I have put up with that before. She was insecure. She would look for excuses to hate things about herself. I would ignore it. She would systematically try to attack my self-esteem to bring me down to her level. She would remain in denial. The cycle would never f**king end. My advice for this: avoid the media. I haven't owned a TV in years. That s**t will literally rot your f**king brain, destroy your self-esteem, and keep you addicted to unhealthy ideals (srs).

C) Everyone likes to look good. It's not a bad thing to care about your own appearance. You should realize, though, even the people who win fitness/figure modeling competitions win because they never remain satisfied with how they FEEL, and the aesthetically pleasing look is only a byproduct of the hard work. You need to want one in order to achieve the other. (srs)

Abductor on cable machine, sumo squats and laying down on ur sude and placing a heavy weight on ur legs moving one up and down... probably sumo squats and abductors on cable is most effective.



Because men like hourglass body females like Kim Kardashian, not a female with no curves that goes straight up and down. It's probably possible to make them bigger if you bulk and do no cardio and focus on sumo deadlifts, squats and especially abductor work which work the side of your thighs.... I don't know if you can make your bones bigger but you can probably create the illusion of thicker hips and thighs.

I'm a female who WANTS To be thicker because I am too petite and small. I want to look like the latinas you see in the rap videos with thicker legs and huge asses... the curvy Kim Kardashian type. That's my ideal body. or Claudia Sampedro (google).

I guess the grass is always greener coz I have naturally thick legs, hips, and a small waist but sometimes I don't like being super curvy like that. In some clothes it looks weird coz the waist goes in so much, not that I want big shoulders/no waist or hips.

I'm a female and never heard of such a code nor do I abide by it... What does equality have to do with working out to better themselves for appearance sakes? I never heard of having to make yourself uglier, fatter or less smarter just so other females can feel comfortable.

That's not true. I can't stand any of those idiot sisters. I personally prefer Asian women with pretty faces and big calves (no idea why). Boob and butt size don't matter to me. Every guy (and girl) has different tastes.

Also, I was always in good shape (year-round sports) until I injured one of my ankles when I was 13, so I was on crutches for a whole summer and became very fat from continuing with my bulking diet. I work out to feel good because I quit smoking and physically need to work out in order to get high. I'm aiddcted to pre-workout stimulants now, though.

Every person has different reasons/motivations for the working out, but I think all humans have a primitive instinct to prolong life.

Right now I squat 75 lbs for reps... I'm 90 lbs... I try to go up like 5 lbs a week... I can barbell hip thrust 115 lbs.... i eat like 150 grams of protein a day.... i do zero cardio in order to build muscle... i dont need cardio. i dont bother with anything bodyweight.. only barbells.

A lot of women can be catty and jealous...I've noticed it as I lose weight.

On the other side, it could be how you're saying these things. Are you saying "I want to work out to look hot" or are you saying "I want to work out, so I don't look like that fat ass bish over there"? I had a friend like that, and she would constantly compare herself to me and say she was so gorgeous, and it was so annoying I stopped hanging out with her.

My best advice is to do what you want to do and find friends that aren't as catty and friends that think like you.
