18 is an arbitrary number, but I believe it's a good one, there's no -set age- in which someone physically completes puberty, that can happen anywhere between 16-23. What you believe constitutes being a man or not doesn't matter, you stop being a child at 18, go read your newspaper once in a while, there are no "18-year-old boys".

Okay, okay. If you only want to talk about the legality of it then I'm not saying I think it's right for them to have underage sex. But in the same way a 17 year old cannot legally drink or smoke then the next day he turns 18 and can legally do all that. Same with them, while shes 15 I understand that they can't have sex and he could get in a lot of trouble, but when she turns 16 it's all good.

In regards to the condoms of birth control not working, the chances of that happening are very, very slim. There's a chance you take with everything you do in life, you just need to figure out if the pros outweigh the cons. That's not up to anyone other than them to decide though.
