I'm getting my four wisdom teeth extracted Thursday. Anyone have any experiences with lifting after extracting wisdom teeth? I've heard mix responses...some people say the pain is unbearable and others say it's no big deal.

I trained the next day. It was all good till about 30 minutes in until I became wracked with migraine headaches. My head wasn't right for another 2-3 days.

I'm getting pictures done soon to see if I need extraction or not. I have one growing out right now, but it seems to go fairly straight, so fingers crossed.
I did hear that with today's top of the level medical technology, you shouldn't feel a thing, and should practically never experience additional pain in the future either.
My friend had his removed and he asked the dentist what he should take for the pain. The dentist looked dumbfounded. After a few minutes he mumbled something in the lines of: "Well, never heard of anyone having any pain before, but I guess you could take like a ibuprofen or something I guess"Owner of:

Yea, they took x-rays today. Apparently, I'm "special." The two top wisdom teeth are growing out straight, like they should be. The bottom two, however, are growing sideways, which I thought was interesting. So to remove the bottom two, instead of just plucking them out, the surgeon has to drill the teeth into smaller pieces and then remove them. Lots of fun.

This bad boy knocked me out for like 4 days a couple weeks ago. They said they'd never seen anything like it. There wasn't enough Vicodin on the planet on that day.
Fortunately it was my last wisdom tooth.

I had all four removed and they were all impacted, including one with a double head (w.t.f.)
I requested propofol and limited ******** and no versed or ******** because I would be by myself after surgery with only a ride home. I was up a couple hours later doing laundry and feeling normal, no grogginess. I lifted then ran 5 miles the next day. I took Ultram as my pain med instead of any sort of opioid so I wouldnt have to worry about the groggy feeling (prescription only and controlled, although non-addictive.) My major issue was eating anything that required much work. I had pizza about 4 days out at a party and that night I had a killer headache.
All in all, do what your doc says. And if pain, as your doc about Ultram. Most effective pain med I have ever used (herniated discs, post-op, etc) and leaves no grogginess. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!

How do you know if you need your wisdom teeth out? Or is it a case of "if you have to ask, then you don't need them out"?

Interestingly, my dentist said he felt like it was a result of taking away too much bone/grinding it out too much trying to get to the tooth and that a gentle approach plus minimal grinding (or whatever word he used) was better. He stated not a single patient of his had dry socket. I dont really understand a whole ton about it and how that could prevent it, but def made me feel better that he had a rate of zero.
And that sucks the balls that you got it..... sound excruciating. What's Spicy Training For?? LIFE MOTHER F-ER!
