Hi everyone! I have the bestest journal family ever!
Yesterday looked like this:
gym
ow
preschool drop off
therma care heatwrap purchased
babysit 2yo and 2mo old for 2 hours
lunch
couch with heating pad/napping for over an hour
biofreeze+heating pad=SO WINNING
one to dance
home
another to basketball
couch
Feels much better today but not 100% so no second leg day this morning. If I'm super motivated might go up and just do some extensions and curls and calves. Will see.
Yeah loaded up 205 with no belt like a big fat dumbarse intending to pound out 5 and be done. Forgetting I haven't gone heavy-ish on deads in weeks. Got about 1/4 of the way up and felt like someone shot me in the back That feeling didn't last long and I went on to finish the workout just stretching and keeping moving.

Funny how I was kinda "meh" about this workout in my head and the only reason was the lack of deads. Silly.

I know I'm an idiot. I went back and looked and saw went from 155 to 205 no problem so just figured it'd be fine? Stupid since I haven't been going heavy lately (well did on rack pulls but they were high pulls). So lesson learned. Don't be dumb in the gym.
Back isn't too bad. More sore like I lifted than being shot in the spine=good lol.My Journal

You know your body better than anybody, but call me paranoid penny. I would still lay off the lower back work or super heavy stuff even if you are feeling "fine" at least for a little bit after that. It's better to be safe than sorry. With my back injury, when I thought I was ok, I tried to do some leg work and it tweaked my back again, so I finally said "f-this" I'm going to take longer than necessary to let my back heal. Almost 6 months later, I think I may be ok. lol. Still scared to deadlift heavy though. eeeek.

Hai P, glad to hear you're feeling a little bit better today. Stay safe on the workouts, back injuries are nothing to ham around with srs.
^^^Was gonna say THIS. I made it a habbit to not do jumps of more than 30lbs at a time. If anything is hurting on me I can tell right away increasing the weight more slowly like that and can stop. I throw on a belt usually when I get a bit above body weight just to be cautious, prob overkill but IDGAF.Current PRs:
Bench Press: 200x1
Deads: 315x1
Back Squats: 275x1

I am, darn it!
Thanks...glad it's feeling better was scared!
Yeah it's really just kinda sore now. Like I lifted you know? Even though I didn't really lol.
Hi ya Lori! Thanks you ripped thing you!
Back not again until Wednesday and it's rack pulls and I plan to stay light for sure. Not worth being out for weeks/months.
OHP Saturday and I should know very quickly if that's going to bother anything. Then legs Monday and I can keep it light/hypertrophy there too.
Stupider for sure. I've done it before but it's been weeks since I went heavy and it just didn't occur to me Mad for being a dumbazz!
Taking Motrin and doing Biofreeze and stretching is really helping. I was going to run tmrw morning but I'm thinking arc again because runnin' is hard on the back.
