Do you prefer protein shake or meal post workout?

Guys,I would like to get your opinion as far as post work out meals go. Do you guys prefer a protein shake or to actually eat a good meal. I usually work out after work so i get home around 7:30 and am currently drinking the Labrade PRO V 60 protein shake which contains 60 grams of protein. Sometimes I will be able to eat and hour after I consume it but often times i feel to bloated to eat. What are your opinions recommendations?

i would recommend a protein shake, its fast digesting also if you train in the gym you wont be able to put protein in your body straight away. so still with a protein shake after workout.

    rep if i helped!

Either works. I have a shake if I'm crunched for time, but I prefer real food.

I do both...however, i don't do a meal prior to training because I take BCAA's during training. Don't want to slow down digestion at all...afterwards I don't think a meal will slow down a protein shake much if at all. Just go without eating cheese because i know casein does slow down digestion.

I will normally take a 1/2 serving or full serving shake + a meal (chicken/rice or fish/rice). Always post workout. I cannot stomache much before workout (drinking too much water even makes me nauseous/belly feels sloshy on ab days and similar).

Definitely food. Bison burger and potatoes, eggs and peanut butter sandwich, etc. Getting to eat my postworkout meal is what gets me through my workouts.
