This is the reason why my gym doesn't have the 100+ lbs dumbells, the bigger the bells the higher the premium the owner has to pay. And this is the not the first time I've heard this excuse, heard the same thing at an Anytime Fitness and at a semi-hardcore gym when I was living in B'ham, Alabama.
EDIT: My current gym almost made me facepalm the owner though as he said and I quote "I don't want to buy/bring in bigger dumbbells since I don't want people to carry them upstairs" -- he's referring to 2nd level of the icebox/warehouse gym...I just simply told him, find me those guys/gals who will carry 100 lb. dumbbells on each arm and carry them up 12-15 steps to do walking lunges upstairs? He bert stared me lolCONQUERING BARBELL

What makes no sense to me is you have to sign a waver at Snap agreeing that the gym isn't liable for any injury's you sustain while on the property... I don't know a lot about insurance, but if the gym is clear of any liability for injury's... whats the problem with a power rack? I've never understood this, lol.
I saw a guy break his finger doing DB flys one day. He wasn't holding them right or something, came down fast and smashed his finger. BLOOD EVERYWHERE! But nothing ever came of it, because he signed the waver.

They gave him the Oh Snap you dun goof'd son!!
I believe most Snap Fitness are independently owned chains similar to Anytime Fitness so as far as equipment purchases goes that's up to the owner.
Sounds like the owner of your gym is the same as douchy as the owner of my current gym.CONQUERING BARBELL

Workout on Christmas, not even once! That's dedication bro!
An injury waiver will cover user error, but it won't absolve the gym of negligence (irregular maintenance and inspection of equipment, faulty repair, etc.) Sounds like those gym owners just don't want to take the risk or pay more insurance.## chillin at home crew

My gym has been pretty packed this week with people who haven't been in MONTHS... not looking forward to the influx of noobies.
I remember seeing sissy squats mentioned quite a bit in G, aka test's log and now yours... gonna have to try these out at the end of my leg routine. How's your elbow doing?

Sup bro! Sorry to hear about the elbow still giving you trouble Doesn't sound as bad as evo's - he actually had a partial tendon tear or something and couldn't press at all. Yours may just be tendinitis.
Get it checked out. You may just need a break from heavy pressing for a while but no surgery.## chillin at home crew
