i did squats and deadlifts on wednesday and i'm still really sore today. so sore that it hurts to get down to tie my shoe.
what i don't understand is i'm a track athlete and my legs are used to getting beat up. is it my diet?

read it again dumbass. i've been doing squats and deadlifts for 6 YEARS and have never been this sore before. it's probably because i didn't eat a lot that day. ate breakfast, skipped lunch to do **** with friends, then when i got home during dinner time i fell asleep because i was tired. ****in idiot

sup highhurdler. long time no talk.
I'm not doing track anymore, but I used to be a sprinter/hurdler and I found that being a runner gives you almost no advantage in lower body lifts. It's an extremely small ROM if you compare it to a full squat or a full deadlift.
also if you've been training for track odds are you've been taking some intensity off the lifting, so if you just got back into high intensity squats/deadlifts odds are you're gonna be sore for a while, but after 2 or 3 workouts you'll recover in a more reasonable amount of time.
