I've been working out for about a 6 months now without supplements. I have a high metabolism rate which prevents me from gaining weight/fat easily.
I was wondering if i should take protein or weight gainer. Any suggestions?

This, but if you if you have the money, buy a Whey protein supplement and a Casein protein supplement. Drink a strictly whey shake after workout, and between meals/pre bed go for a casein shake!
My reccomended homemade gainer:
-1 1/2 scoops of ON Whey
-1 Cup of Skim Milk ( not a big fan of Whole, has too much fat. )
-2-4 Tablespoons PB
-1 Banana
-1 Cup Oats
-Cinnamon
-*optional: cottage CheeseBench Press: 195x1
Deadlift: 245x3
Squat: 225x5 parallel
