    Change my routine to 5x5?

I have been lifting hard for about 5 months now. I didnt start out with rippetoe program. I am looking to build more muscle and mass. My current routine consist of doing 3 sets with 10 reps. Would i put more mass on by doing 5 sets with 5 reps?

You'll see gains no matter what you do at your age.

At your level, it really doesn't matter what you do. The good thing about beginner programs like Starting Strength is they get you lifting heavy with the right mentality and form early on.

Later, you can switch to a high volume routine if you wish to pour all you have into mass. You'll have the tools to get the most out of whatever you do if you start with a beginner template.

this program gave me the best result for strength gain. I use to finish off at 85lbs Incline DB and now I'm at 105lbs in less than 3 months.

You'll probably see faster progression on a well thought out 5x5 like madcows or texas method. pounds on the bar + food = pounds on the scale
To guys starting out - please understand: when you can deadlift 450lb for 10 reps your back, hamstrings & traps will reflect THAT not which program you used to get there. When you can curl 150 for 10, your biceps will reflect THAT, not which program, rep range or method you used to get there. There is no voodoo independent of poundage progression, just faster and slower ways of getting to your next pit stop.
